In the heart of Nørrebro, the coffee bar Holy Bean has created a café universe where good acoustics and visual expression merge. With Arku acoustic ceilings, the solution was not only practical – it became part of the café's identity.

A unique expression through the ceiling
Instead of choosing a neutral ceiling, Osvald and his team decided to paint directly on the panels and work with graphic shapes in red and cream. This created a warm, organic contrast to the light walls and Nordic furniture selection – while also giving the café a distinct, recognisable expression that makes it a place to remember.

Function and atmosphere

In addition to creating a unique visual signature, the Arku ceiling gives Holy Bean an acoustic calm that makes it pleasant to be a guest – even when the café is full. It is easy to have a conversation without noisy reverberation, and the warm atmosphere supports both the coffee bar's concept and Osvald's desire to create a place where you feel at home.

“We wanted a place that did not look like every other café. The ceiling had to be more than just white surfaces – it had to be something people remember. With Arku, we could both address the acoustics and paint our own pattern directly onto the panels. It gave us the freedom to create our very own look without compromising on functionality.”
