Acoustic ceiling inspiration from Arku

We have gathered a range of examples and references of creative solutions that combine functionality, architecture and design.

Inspiration for acoustic ceilings is about seeing how the solution works in real spaces and forms part of the overall design.

Here we have gathered projects where Arku has been used in both residential and commercial settings, and where the interplay between ceiling, light and materials stands out clearly.

When considering an acoustic ceiling, it is crucial to see how the ceiling interacts with the room's light, materials and proportions. The ceiling affects not only the sound experience but also the overall impression, as it often occupies a large part of the field of view.

By seeing the solution in practice, it becomes easier to assess whether the ceiling is experienced as a calm and integrated part of the room, or as an active element in the interior design.

If you would like to experience the material and appearance more closely, you are welcome to visit our showroom.

Restaurant Socios, Aarhus
In some rooms, the acoustics are noticeable immediately, especially when hard surfaces and many people are gathered. This was the starting point at Restaurant Socios, where the aim was to create more calm without changing the visual identity or atmosphere of the room.
Arturel, Aarhus
At Arturel HQ, the goal was to support a workspace where focus and conversations can coexist. The acoustic ceiling was integrated as a calm part of the interior and contributes to a more comfortable sound environment throughout the working day.
Holy Bean, Nørrebro
At Holy Bean CPH, the ceiling became part of the café’s visual expression. The panels are painted with graphic shapes in red and cream, adding warmth to the space while reducing noise.
Mindet 10, Aarhus
Mindet 10 was based on a listed space with curved vaults, where the form and details had to be preserved. The panels were adapted to the ceiling’s curves, so the original appearance remains intact while the sound environment is improved.
Arku in Stevnstrup
The project in Stevnstrup was based on the desire for a home where function and aesthetics naturally go hand in hand. The acoustic ceiling is used throughout the home and contributes to a calm appearance while improving the sound environment in the large and open spaces.
Standard house with cathedral ceiling
The project in Silkeborg shows how acoustic solutions can create calm, even in large and open spaces. Here, the ceiling contributes to more balanced acoustics without drawing attention away from the room’s architecture and materials.

From inspiration to choice

Once you have seen different projects, it becomes clearer what suits your own space.

Some solutions work best as large, continuous surfaces that create a sense of calm, while others require more flexibility depending on the shape and layout of the ceiling.

It can therefore be an advantage to consider both format and room type before making your choice.

You can get an overview of the formats that recur across the projects and compare the solutions in our range.
