Sheet Square 600 x 600 mm
Arku Kvadratisk is a series of acoustic panels are lightweight ceiling panels made from 60% recycled PET plastic bottles and 40% thermoplastic binder. The material is formed into felt without the use of toxic binders and is free of harmful chemicals. The panels are designed to combine function, aesthetics and sustainability in one solution, where good acoustics do not come at the expense of the environment.
The panels are designed for ceiling mounting and are used to reduce reverberation and reverberation in private homes, offices, meeting rooms and public buildings. The ceiling placement ensures an even distribution of sound attenuation in the room.
Arku panels are fireproof (classified B-s1,d0), certified low-emissivity and easy to install without the use of screws – they are mounted with glue. They can be cut to size with standard tools and do not require acclimatization.
After use, the panels can be broken down, washed and reused in new production, supporting a circular material flow.

Frequently asked questions about Arku acoustic panels
Why is PET a good material for acoustic panels?
PET felt is lightweight, durable, and fully recyclable. It provides effective sound absorption and makes the panels easy to handle and install.
Can the acoustic panels be used in both private homes and commercial buildings?
Yes, they are suitable for private homes, offices, and public spaces. The panels are particularly well-suited for renovations and new constructions.
Are ARKU acoustic panels fire safe?
Yes. ARKU acoustic panels are tested and classified as B-s1,d0 according to the European standard EN 13501-1. This means they have high fire resistance, produce very little smoke, and no burning droplets.
In practice, this makes ARKU panels ideal for offices, public buildings, and private homes where safety and certified quality are just as important as design and acoustics. You get a lightweight, sustainable material that meets professional fire safety requirements.
How much do the acoustic panels weigh?
ARKU acoustic panels weigh about 2 kg per square meter, making them significantly lighter than traditional acoustic boards, which often weigh five to six times more.
The low weight makes the panels easier to handle and install, especially when working overhead, where heavy materials can strain the body and shoulders.
This allows one person to complete the installation easily — without special tools or lifting equipment.
Are the materials in ARKU ceiling panels safe for indoor air quality?
Yes. ARKU acoustic panels are developed with a strong focus on healthy and safe indoor environments.
The material is certified for low emissions and tested according to European AgBB standards, ensuring that no harmful substances are released into the air.
The panels comply with REACH chemical safety requirements, meaning they contain no substances considered hazardous to health.
Do ARKU acoustic panels emit VOCs?
No. ARKU panels are tested according to EN 16516, which measures the emission of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
The results show extremely low emissions — below 0.067 mg/m³ — far under the threshold values for building materials.
This means the panels do not emit odors or unhealthy fumes and contribute to a clean and comfortable indoor climate, even in enclosed spaces.
