Arku was created with a clear mission to challenge and perhaps even revolutionize the market for acoustic ceiling panels.
Arku was created with the ambition to challenge and rethink the market for acoustic ceilings.
For many years, traditional acoustic panels for ceilings have been heavy, cumbersome and difficult to fit into the construction. The materials are time-consuming to work with, and aesthetically they give both designers and architects headaches.
Arku is breaking new ground. With roots in the Nordic design tradition and references to the classic plaster ceilings of the 70s, we have created an acoustic ceiling that combines function, form and sustainability.
Our acoustic ceiling tiles weigh minimally, can be installed directly on existing ceilings and require no acclimatization. At the same time, they are produced in Denmark from around 60% recycled plastic, which originates from the world's oceans. In this way, we remove waste from nature without compromising on aesthetics, fire safety or sound absorption.
At Arku, all products are developed by our own designers and carpenters in Aarhus. Here we combine craftsmanship, innovation and Nordic simplicity to create soundproof ceiling panels that fit naturally into modern architecture.
And we sell directly to you – digitally, simply and honestly.
At Arku, it's not just about acoustics. It's about building smarter, more sustainably and with respect for the spaces we inhabit.

Our philosophy
We sell directly to the customer (D2C)
We skip wholesalers and middlemen. ARKU is sold directly online – to both private individuals and professionals. This makes the whole process faster, cheaper and more transparent.
Lightweight and easy to install
Our panels are up to 25% faster to install and require no specialist knowledge. They are lightweight and require no acclimatization – saving both time and frustration.
Part of a circular value chain
Made from recycled plastic – and moving towards versions with up to 90% recycling and biodegradable alternatives. We remove plastic from the ocean and give it a new life as a modern building material.
Aesthetic and functional
Inspired by the clean lines of the 70s – and designed for today's spaces. Arku delivers a ceiling you'll want to look up at.
Environmental responsibility
We remove plastic from the ocean and give it new life as a modern building material. Without compromising on aesthetics, safety or sound absorption.
Questions about environmental responsibility
How do recycled materials protect our planet?
Recycled materials protect the planet by reducing waste, saving resources and reducing CO₂ emissions
Why is it important to use recycled PET in our products?
It is important to use recycled PET because it extends the life of the material and removes plastic from where it causes the most harm.
PET (polyethylene terephthalate) is light, strong and 100% recyclable. At Arku, it is cleaned, melted and pressed into high-density, low-weight acoustic panels – ideal for sound absorption and circular production
How do you ensure the quality and safety of your recycled materials?
We collaborate with partners who collect, sort and certify the plastic under controlled conditions, so that we can document both quality, traceability and circular thinking.
All materials are tested for purity and safety before entering our production – so you get a product that is both healthy, stable and responsibly produced.
